By my calculations, NR shoots .821 (69 balls, 15 errors) and RB shoots .750 (69 balls, 23 errors). Remember some errors count double.

I know this has been addressed before in regards to previous matches and I don't want to sound like a prude, but I have to say, even if there isn't an official dress code for a tournament, shouldn't players police themselves a little better when selecting their wardrobe, especially when they know they are being videotaped? I was impressed with Rose's choice of outfit, but Broumpton shows up with shorts, a long-sleve T-shirt with a suggestive image and writing on it, and his cell phone hanging off his hip like he was expecting an important call. The way a player presents themselves can say just as much about them as their behavior, which I will admit was without fault.
Moving on to the match itself. Both men played well and it was entertaining to watch. I will say that it was a match of extremes. Both players were going back and forth between making great shots and making costly errors.
As far as this Accu-stats business is concerned, the name of this particular game is 9-ball. Whoever legally pockets the 9-ball wins the game. It doesn't matter if it wasn't pretty or luck played a large part (which is one of my main criticisms of 9-ball). I don't like the idea of rating somebody based on missing an "easy" shot. Difficulty is subjective. What one player considers a pocket hanger, the next will consider a tester. In a game like 9-ball, I just don't see how somebody can objectively look at a shot and say if it was an error or not. I consider getting way out of position to be an error, but if the following shot is successful (even if it's complete luck) then apparently it wasn't an error after all.
All in all, I enjoyed the match and I look forward to upcoming matches.

Straightshooter .... that tee shirt you are talking about with the "suggestive saying" is the name of a billiard apparel company -- S W strokit wear. Its not a random denegrading remark, its the name of a clothing company. Dress codes tend to be more relaxed during warmer weather as well. But I agree all players should be neat, clean, comfortable and presentable. I guess there may be some subjectiveness to dressing like there is in degree of difficulty as you mention in your statement. The only way to control that is to have a written code and ENFORCE it. Best of rolls to ya.

Good match!
You have done a great job bringing us many fine matches at no cost to view. Best wishes for continued success in the new year....
It's ironic that a site with the same initials as Pay Per View can present such a continued series of high quality pool for free. Thanks for your efforts on all our behalf.

First Congratulations to Nathan Rose and Richard Broumpton for coming through a tough field to make it to the winner's side final. Also I'd like to thank Jorge Torres for continuing his effort in creating the best pool and billiards website available to the public. I've known Richard for about a year now and to his defense he is a gentlemen and a class act and as of late has done everything he can to help promote and advance the Strokit Wear Company which belongs to his friend and standout player Tony Crosby. I agree with the statement that there should be slightly stricter dress codes for our beloved sport but one must understand that it is kind of difficult to enforce these rules as well. Many players do show up dressed less than sharply, however you'd be surprised as to how many players at this tournament did show up dressed to impress. Many of the players who made the long trek from Miami to go up to this tournament did not dissapoint. The locals of Stuart including Nathan did their best to dress accordingly as well. But it's like mr. Straightshooter said, I think the players should try to police themselves a little better when it comes to tournaments. I know for myself I have certain clothes I set aside for these tournaments. In any case both players had a good showing and I'm sure you'll see more of them in the future. IF any of you are going to Derby City, keep an eye out for Nathan, he's goin up there with intentions to make some noise for himself.

I recognize the Accu-Stats scoring may be of interest to only a limited number of you, but I find it useful in figuring out how good I'll have to become before I can compete on a tour like this.
I try to make my Accu-Stats TPA posts so short that they are easily skipped by those who don't care about them.

Don't stop doing it, I think its great that you take the time to do it and I appreciate it, even though sometimes I don't appreciate the stats. Did you see my response on the most recent DiToro match?

I'd give them the same side of the table as there front pocket caue the it would cut out some position routes and make safety play for you more plausible. however, you must be pretty freakin' good to spot a pocket. Come on down to Roanoke, VA (one pocket world capital) and Ill find about 100 guys to take that spot and bunch to play you even

Wallace .. thanks for your input. Good is a relative term. I'm not that good. As for your challenge, thanks but I can find whatever game I want right here. I don't need any help woofing. I never saw this spot given and was just wondering what really good players would give. Thanks again for your thoughts.

Since its hard to find one pocket videos, I want to ask you 1p players out there a question. If you were spotting someone a front and a back to your front pocket, which back pocket would you give them?

I think the match went fairly well, I enjoy the accu-stats keep posting them. As for the dress code, I think players should dress to impress pool fans and anyone of importance that might be watching. Pool needs to grow up! Dress codes no matter the size of the tournament should be enforced.
