And that was a good final!

I'm a bit sad for Tommy, he played well, and that was so nice to see him in that final game, but Marlon once again has proved that he has iron nerves. He did a great comeback.

Good match.

Very very intense match, thanks for posting. I did'nt like how Tommy handled some of the missed shots. He screams when he combos the ten in, and he slams his stick on the table when he misses...I mean come on....

Great come back on Manalo's part. Great shots don't impress me as much as consistency does. What impresses me even more is the ability a player has to start off so horribly and turn things around by identifying the problem and increasing the level of concentration to rectify it. In this match, Manalo is a prime example. Tommy was shooting very well but he let up a little bit in the end when Manalo turned on the heat.

Tommy should not have won because he did not win. Everything played out the way it was suppose to. There is no should happen only what did happen.

As for Tommy exclaiming and hitting his cue on the table, it is completely understandable. In fact, I believe he was relatively docile compared to what I have seen...and done. If I do it just fooling around with friend I can definitely see it happening with $3500 on the line...with a bank on the final shot...on a crucial game...when you can feel your control over the match slipping away.

Once again, good match.

yam - gotta love tommy   | Registered | 2007-07-01 23:12:11
monalo is very professional. i like the way he plays and his consistency.

at the same time, i love tommy for his happiness shining out of his face on making combos. tommy insisted on making combos while monalo avoided colliding into the 10 on some occaisions. good contrast, great match.

Once again Tommy should have won because in true double elimination tournaments, me as a pool player, believes that Marlon Monalo should have had to beat him twice. Tommy did not lose a single match throughout the entire tournament, therefore, Monalo should have had to beat Kennedy twice hence the term "double elimination".

awesome work by Manalo to stay in this one and pull out the win.

These guys barely shot in the .800's. Poorly played match with many missed balls. Manalo looks like Gallego at the table.
