I was rather surprised when I watched this match. Di Toro made some nice escapes from Davis'safeties only to hand the game right back to Mike. I'm sure John is a great player (he did make the finals), but in this match it would seem his nerves got to him. Nice to know it happens to all of us!!!:-).Thank you to Jorge for this awesome site and to Mr. Di Toro for his commentary in previous matches. Mike Davis isn't as highly touted as other pros, but he sure can play.

I promise you Mike Davis didn't go into this match thinking it would be a cupcake. John DiToro is an old-school pro and can't be taken lightly by anyone. Watch some of his other matches on here and you'll see what I mean. DiToro could give lessons to alot of the players you see on espn.

Mike is very highly touted among other pros. His unique stroke has garnered attention for a while now. A former bar table champion and is now sponsored by Dragon Promotions I believe. Charlie Williams doesn't just promote anybody, only top pros (Immonen, Hohmann, Morris). So don't think he's a mid-level pro.

The last couple of racks Di Toro took looked more like the guy that got him to the finals. Unfortunately I do agree that nerves got to him for the majority of the match. Mike would make a good safety, Di Toro would make an excellent hit but give it right back to Mike. I'm sure on the right day, Di Toro would've given Mike more to offer. :D

Man I just can't stand watching Davis' stroke. That up-down motion gives me such a headache, even if it produces good results.
