Good match! Sparkey made some great shots to get out a few racks and played smart. Rodney had a couple great kicks that he didn't get rewarded for. I always enjoy watching Rodney play though. I was hoping that we'd get to see something new soon; thanks propoolvideo.com!

I personally felt more of Sparky's preshot routine could have been left out. Like 5-10 minutes worth.

Yeah, good match, but Sparkey's pre-shot antics could have been cut out.

Some great shootin' though.

So many comments about a players stroke or style. Do you all realize they were playing for $3000/2000. If I had a stroke like either one, I'd be playing the other guy and so would you . Not bad I say. Show some respect for the talent. If the promoters don't have a shot clock, why do YOU??? GOOD job PPV, THANKS for this great video.

Good match, i didn't knew Sparky, he played very well. I like the way he plays, very accurate in his shots, and very accurate in the position of the cueball. He's really an excellent player.
Happy to see that very good match, thank you PPV, i'm happy to see you back.

I was watching this match actually sitting next to sparkies girlfriend... he drank redbull alot... at least 6 or 7 of them that I know of... they drive to each tournament so their tired from driving all night and day so they resorted to drinking tons of redbull.... thats word of mouth from his girlfriend... even when he wasn't playing he looked like he was all phsyched up on redbull with his wide eyes.. he was a hell of a banker too...

avatar thats a poor excuse redbull is an addiction this was the second day right he should have been able to get some rest, BUT he is a great player nothing taken from that

avatar For those of you who have never seen Sparky Ferrel play, take note of his focus and intensity. These are vital ingredients to being able to combat and win against higher level players such as Rodney Morris. No matter how strange it might look you cannot doubt that Sparky understood the importance of every ball he struck, and used his hunger and drive to win to will himself into the winner's circle. A very important lesson indeed.

Totally agree with rayshooter. You gotta love players who play with intensity. This is what the game is all about. I love seeing players play every rack like it might be their last. On the other hand, I didn't really like Sparky's stroke too much. Reminded me a bit of Mike Davis's stroke but I guess it's not how it looks, just as long as you get the right results.

It's nothing to do with the player. I just don't want to watch him standing or walking around. That's editing as far as I'm concerned.

Wow, give somebody something for free and they will still find something to complain about.

Beggers can't be choosers. You should be happy you got to watch this match rather then just reading about it. The guys here do a great job on all the videos and deserve a ton of credit.

It looks like complainers will always be around. It must be genetic...Their ancestors complained about THE WHEEL, pasturized milk and penicillin.

is marking the table with your cue tip legal?
Joss   | Registered | 2008-04-10 03:25:11
Sparky have great attitude to this match,on the other hand Rodney looks so bored. Most ball he is potting are played very unclean, many of them hiting a cussion first. On table that i practice this kind of play is impossible. It obvious why they created Pro Cut pockets:)
james roberts   | Registered | 2008-04-10 15:58:35
this table they played on is a double shimmed gold crown that is very tight and a little gaffy
Pocketpride   | Registered | 2008-04-11 18:22:58
Don't they have the rule foul on all balls. Because Rodney morris made a foul with his shirt during the match but no one noticed. If you scroll the player to 19:36 minutes, you'll see. Personally I think Rodney has a lousy attitude towards the game. Some times he has the I don't care stroke and he wares a long loose shirt wich he made a foul with. You know beforehand you will probably make a foul with such clothing. But he still plays well
rayshooter22   | Registered | 2008-07-01 11:53:36
avatar ON the seminole pro tour they only play with cue ball fouls. So if an article of clothing touches a ball it wont be considered a foul. There is an exception however, if a player is bridging over a ball to shoot and the cue-ball is within a 2 inch range of that ball, then it would be a foul if the player shoots and then hits or moves the ball he's bridgeing over with the shaft.

A great match. Leaving the pre-shot routine in is good for beginner and intermediate players to watch. It will help them learn. Thanks PPV for a great match. I don't mind the extra footage if it will help bring more competition to the game.
buska   | Registered | 2008-04-24 15:49:29
I like seeing the pre-shot routine. It helps me see how a professional takes a stance forms a bridge etc. I don't care for videos that cut straight to the shot.
Tomack   | Registered | 2008-05-29 10:12:54
Excellent site, many thanks to the people filming.

Nice match...lost in the last game due to Rodney's safety attempt, leaving just enough for that nice cut by Sparky. I think Rodney might have been on a roll just before that shot.

that wasn't red bull he was hyped on
